It was told King David, “The LORD has blessed the household of Obed-edom and all that belongs to him, because of the ark of God.” So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-edom to the city of David with rejoicing; and when those who bore the ark of the LORD had gone six paces, he sacrificed an ox and a fatling. David danced before the LORD with all his might; David was girded with a linen ephod. So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet. As the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal daughter of Saul looked out of the window, and saw King David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart. Prayer after the Terrorist Attacks in Norway

Father God, we pray for all those affected by the recent terrorist attacks in Norway. We pray for the innocent people who were injured as well as the family and friends of all who were killed. The whole nation suffers with them, Lord; the whole world. We ask that you will be with the emergency workers as they deal with the carnage, assist police and intelligence officers as they seek out those responsible. Grant politicians and other decision makers wisdom to respond appropriately. Comfort all those who have had their sense of security shattered by these attacks and empower all of us to overcome hatred and violence wherever we encounter them. We ask all of this in the name of your beloved Son, Amen.
Collect for Sundays
O God, you make us glad with the weekly remembrance of the glorious resurrection of your Son our Lord: Give us this day such blessing through our worship of you, that the week to come may be spent in your favor; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Prayer for Mission

The General Thanksgiving
