From 2012: In Guatemala, the indigenous villagers of Todos Santos (which means “All Saints”) highlight their celebrations honoring the dead with a three-day festival. Lavishly-decorated kites draw huge crowds; families pay homage to the dead by decorating the graves of their loved ones and offering flowers, corn, squash, and orange slices at church.
