Southwark Cathedral, London, on the south bank of the River Thames near London Bridge. There’s been a church here for a thousand years; this was built as a priory from 1220-1420, it became St. Saviour’s parish with the dissolution of the monasteries, and was named a cathedral when the Diocese of Southwark was created in 1905.
