A group of women in Yakima, Washington get together every Tuesday to knit and crochet together for a good cause: they make knockers out of yarn for women who have undergone mastectomies. They say the name makes people smile every time it comes up, which makes it easier to talk about a woman’s practical needs and to offer support. Wendy Walker, second from left, is one of our webcasters and told us they were being interviewed this week for a feature story on the local news. (KNDO-TV)
