Sixty thousand people are homeless in New York City, and 40% of them are children under 18. Government doesn’t do a very good job of serving them, unless community organizations like the Girl Scouts step up and help. People without a permanent address need ties to community institutions like churches and schools, and the members of Troop 6000 are having fun and learning again, instead of missing out.
