It is done, spectacularly: Jennifer Baskerville-Burroughs is the new Bishop of Indianapolis, with colleagues standing behind her: Bishops Barbara C. Harris, first woman bishop in history, and Catherine M. Waynick, her predecessor. Jennifer is the first black woman to have a full charge of a diocese, and the first woman to succeed another woman in that role. Hallelujah! (Meghan McConnell)
