Wilson, rector of St. Andrew’s and Holy Communion, South Orange, New Jersey, brought the arrival of St. Nicholas (by sea, of course, in New York Harbor) to parish children in 2014, complete with Belgian chocolates, oranges and candy canes, following the European tradition tracing the origin of gift-giving at Christmastime.
