Thanksgiving is a civic holiday in the United States, while in The Episcopal Church it is a major holy day in all 20 or so nations under TEC’s jurisdiction. Every religion in the world observes a harvest festival, and today is ours; it’s the busiest travel weekend in the U.S., as people head home or to vacation spots. Popular activities include American football, watching favorite holiday movies and rolling one’s eyes at the crazy things Uncle Morry says every year. (Carew International)
