Mount Rainier, about 60 miles south of Seattle, Washington, is the tallest peak in the Cascade Range and the most topographically distinct mountain in the U.S. It’s an active volcano, considered likely to erupt in the next ten years, one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world.
