New Braunfels TX.Mikala Compton Herald-Zeitung

The HEB supermarket in New Braunfels, Texas was full of shoppers stocking up when the power went out in the midst of a blizzard and ice storm. The store let shoppers walk out without paying; the customers needed food, supplies and diapers more than the store did. Grateful shoppers then started helping each other get into their vehicles and out of the icy parking lot. Someone’s story on Facebook went viral, and soon half the town was looking afyer their neighbors. (Mikala Compton/Herald-Zeitung)
