Unknown artist, 1940: Ezekiel Saw the Wheel. This lithograph, owned by the Talbot Historical Society in Colorado, uses the familiar sight of a 20th Century windmill as a sign of hope against the Dust Bowl droughts of the 1930s and ’40s in the High Plains.
