CTA Red Line with Philly & Trans Flags Till Pride 10.3.21

The Chicago Transit Authority has introduced four new Pride cars on its Red Line trains, to run from now until early October, when the city’s pandemic-delayed Pride March will be held. Even longtime participants may not recognize the color schemes; a new design, dubbed the Philly flag, adds brown and black stripes to the traditional ROYGBIV of the color spectrum, while the pink and blue pastels with a white center form the new Trans flag. The Red Line operates 24/7 from 95th Street in the south to the Howard Station in the north, including the city’s famous Loop downtown. (CTA)
