Donald Sussman $6 Mil to UVI Med School

The University of the Virgin Islands says it will start a new medical school after receiving after receiving a gift of $6 million from William Sussman, an alumnus and former board member. It will be the fifth historically Black medical school and the first at a public university. UVI President Dr. David Hall has been pushing for a medical school for years, especially after back to back devastating hurricanes in 2017. If accredited it will become the first English-speaking medical school in the Caribbean. (UVI)
