President Biden signed the PACT Act last week to provide increased treatment and benefits to U.S. veterans exposed to toxic substances in war zones, from Agent Orange during the Vietnam Era to burn pits in Iraq and Afghanistan. The law is of particular interest to President Biden, who believes his late son Beau was exposed in Iraq – and it’s of particular interest to us; our late Honorary Deacon Clint Gilliland suffered from Agent Orange exposure after combat duty in Cambodia.
