A Star is born composite.James Webb Space Telescope.ESA NASA CSA

The James Webb Space Telescope, looking backward in time to the immediate aftermath of the Big Bang, produced this composite image of a star being born. These new galaxies are thought to be a mere 350 million years old, which breaks the old record by the Hubble Space Telescope by 50 million years; astronomers say they are exceptionally bright. The universe is estimated to be 13.8 *billion* years old; the findings do await further confirmation. (NASA/European Space Agency/Canadian Space Agency et al.)
