Indian Garden Renamed Havasupai Gardens Natl Park Svc

The Grand Canyon became a national park by evicting the Havasupai tribe of Indigenous people, who had lived and cared for the canyon for thousands of years; this section, seen from a park ranger’s house and lookout post, was named Indian Garden. Now it has been renamed Havasupai Gardens for its original owners; may it ever remain so. (National Park Service)
